We had the most beautiful group of students from the University of Arkansas Adventure Therapy Lab adventuring with us this week. Here they are after the climb up Huatekerekere/ Little Mt Peel proudly wearing our Peel Forest Outdoor Centre Merchandise. A unique souvenir of their time with us. It was such a privilege to meet you all and we hope the rest of your South Island trip is awesome. Thanks for letting us be part of your journey.

EDUCATE: Many thanks to Tim from FullStop Traps who generously ran a trapping training for our team.
We covered so much..... knowing what we are trying to protect 🦇🐦🦎, understanding predator behaviour and how that informs our trapping practice and also a deep dive into trap maintenance.
Thanks heaps for sharing your knowledge and inspiring us Tim. It was great to see the team soaking in all the info.
Tim is running a backyard trapping session in Peel Forest with Project PEEL tomorrow afternoon (Sat 16), we highly recommend attending if you are yet to start your trapping journey.

Today the team said farewell to our lovely Penny Wilson. We made a sad occasion special by sharing lunch together in our special place at the EcoLodge making pizzas and smores after a treasure hunt. Penny, thanks for all your hard work, spoiling us with baking and all the great laughs we've had. May you get plenty of time in the great outdoors and always have an adventure scheduled in your calendar. Sparkles ❤️
