🏊♀️🚴♂️🏃♀️ Congratulations to Our Triathlon Winners! 🏆
What an incredible event it was, with amazing effort, determination, and sportsmanship shown by all who took part. A huge congratulations to our overall winners!
A very special mention goes to our young athletes who took on the challenge this year with such enthusiasm and dedication. We'd like to recognise some of our Under 18 category competitors for their outstanding performance.
Special mention goes to Miko Agnew who was entered in the 'Under 18' category but was our overall female kayak triathlon winner when all competitors from the Open Female and Under 18 Female categories were ranked together. Miko had been training all year for this event and managed to knock 20minutes off of her event time from last year. An incredible effort, congratulations Miko!
Our second overall winner & winner of the 'Open Female' category was another under 18 competitor, Ainhoa Alkorta. Ainhoa wanted to challenge herself by entering in the 'Open Female' category and was just over 1 minute behind Miko.
Reuben Eyre and Jackson Gamble competed in the 'Under 18 Male' kayak triathlon and delivered a very tight race, finishing just one minute apart. When all competitors were ranked together—including both the Open Male and Under 18 Male categories—Reuben placed 2nd overall and Jackson finished 3rd overall.
The overall winner (and Open Male category champion) was Tana Alkorta.
