Wednesday evening was the first Destination Te Awahou-Foxton (DTAF) “Business after 5” meeting of the year.
With over 30 business owners attending to hear from DTAF chair Jason and brief talks from Peta owner of and Judy from the Foxton windmill Charitable Trust each speaking about why they continue to support our wonderful community.
Our sincere thanks to for hosting us and providing nibbles and for keeping us hydrated.
Feed back has been excellent and we already have offers to host the next DTAF-BA5.
Thanks to everyone that gave up their time to help make this first event a success.

This is potentially great news for restoring the trails.

Forestry works are starting at Target Reserve from 23 April, following storm damage earlier this year.

Work will begin at Target Reserve, move to Cousins Ave Reserve for tree harvesting, then return to Target Reserve in May to finish the programme.

For everyone’s safety, both reserves will be closed while work is underway. Please stay clear of these areas.

The weather just isn't playing ball this year....

UNFORTUNATELY. We have had to make the rather difficult decision to cancel the Big Dutch Day Out tomorrow the 18th.
This is due to the forecast weather being Wind and Rain.
Given the BDDO is predominantly an outdoor event the day would be less than fun with the predicted weather.
We have held off cancelling as long as practicable hoping against hope, however, we acknowledge that many folk will be travelling here for the day and we want to give everyone time to reorganise their weekend.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and wish you a safe and dry weekend.
