Kia ora e te whānau,

After a number of years, we are re-establishing our Whānau Hui.

This is an important moment for our kura. At this hui we’ll hear from our tamariki on what matters most, and create space for whānau voice in shaping the direction ahead for our kura and future Tumuaki.

We invite you to be part of this.

Kia ora e te whānau,

We are currently in the early planning stages of recruiting our next tumuaki for Te Kura o Te Awahou.

Before any decisions are made, it is important that we hear from our community — your experiences of our kura, what is working well, what could be strengthened, and your aspirations for the future.

Your feedback will directly inform:

💙 the direction of our kura
💙 the qualities we seek in our next tumuaki
💙how we continue to grow and support our tamariki

This survey is one of several opportunities to share your whakaaro. We will also be holding kapu tī drop-in sessions and a whānau hui, where you are warmly invited to come in, connect, and contribute in person.

Your voice matters, and it will help shape what comes next. Mauri ora

ERO (Education Review Office) are reviewing Te Kura o Te Awahou/Foxton Primary School next week.

As part of their review, they would like to meet with whānau on Tuesday 5 May at 2pm at the school. They would like to ask a few questions and have a short discussion.

If you decide to come along, please come to the office first and we will direct you to the meeting place.

Ngā mihi,

😂 Knock knock.

Who's there?

The children's library, with two weeks of giggles, goofs, and good times! 🤪💩🥸

Our LOL Laugh Out Loud school holiday programme is bringing a side-splitting celebration of silliness and laughs for the jokesters among us.

So whether you're a jokester, a giggle-monster, or just someone who loves a good laugh, come join us at the library these holidays.

After all, life is better when you're laughing! 😄

We extend our aroha to Matua James and his whānau at this time.

Tēnā koutou e te whānau,

As you may be aware the new School Board of Foxton Primary School made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Australia trip for our Year 7 and 8 students.

We recognise that the decision to cancel the 2025 Australia trip has been disappointing for students, families, and our community. We also acknowledge that there are questions about why the decision was made, and that the community deserves a response from the Board.

Please find the Boards response below.
