Thanks to those in the Community who have dropped unwanted eye glasses into Mewingtons Bookshoppe this week. Over 50 pairs in less than a week This is an ongoing Community Project of our Lion's Club, so please keep dropping off any unwanted glasses and support an amazing project & help improve eyesight in the Pacific Islands

Foxton Te Awahou Lions do many things for the community. Just one is knitting for various causes. Our members have been busy knitting fiddle muffs which were donated to Lonsdale Rest Home.
Fiddle Muffs are knitted muffs with items on the outside such as zips, buttons, beads etc. They help those with dementia or other memory conditions by providing simple stimulation and soothing restless hands.
Our president Karen handed them over to one of the nurses last week.
