Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club

Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club Our home is Pan Pac Mountain Bike Park, just north of Napier. You must be a HBMTBC member to ride in the park.

The park currently has 71km of single-track and linking forest roads with tracks to suit all ages and riding abilities. Based at Pan Pac Eskdale MTB Park with over 70km of forest trails; there is something something suitable for all ages and all riding abilities.

Hi everyone, we have a few updates for Panpac Mountain Bike Park.

1.Wahoo is currently closed as there is logging happening along the flats near the exit. It will likely remain closed for several months. Jarden Mile remains open – you just have to climb back up the road from the exit.

2. Unison and Panpac will begin felling trees along the smaller powerline routes above Mervs, Voltage, Luge, upper Horseshoe, Minefield, Burden, Pylon, Ridgeline, Mill valley and Luge road etc on Friday 18th
To keep everyone safe while this occurs and the logs are recovered, the entire park will be CLOSED from Friday 18/9. The gate will be locked Thursday night. We anticipate reopening around 25/9 – we will let you know.
For your safety, please respect these closures.

Panpac trail closures: Tree felling work is about to start near the power lines that run through Replanted Block. Signage will be going up this weekend.

This means Cannonball Lector, Nuclear Blast, Minefield, Brown Sugar, Porridge, Sweeper, Valley, Mill Valley Rd, and QE2 View Rd will all be closed for the next month or two.
For your own safety please respect the closures. It's all just part of having our MTB park in a plantation forest!

A heads up team: tomorrow, Friday 14/8 Panpac contractors will be undertaking goat control operations in the Fisher Block.
This won't directly affect the MTB park, but if you are riding tomorrow you may hear gunshots. (Fisher Block is North of Ridgeline rd on the northern boundary of the MTB park).

The Panpac contractors have finished their road works in the park for now - access is back to normal :-)

Hey everyone - a reminder about the forest road work happening at the moment in Pan Pac Mountain Bike Park . The contractors are now working in the vicinity of Crowley Rd, this means there may be no access to Jarden Mile, Magpies and all the other tracks down from this trailhead during working hours Monday to Friday.
The key message remains IF YOU COME ACROSS THE CONTRACTORS, TURN AROUND AND GO BACK THE WAY YOU CAME.
If everyone can do this, we can keep the park open for the duration of the work. Thanks!
