We have had a couple of great projects completed over the last two weeks.
The new turf area is finished and looks fantastic.
A new concrete driveway has been put in at the bowl entrance, however it is not quite ready to be used. The bowl entrance will be closed on Monday, could you please use one of the other entrances for drop off and pick up.
Thank you, see you all on Monday ready for a busy term ahead.

A reminder that touch practice is on tomorrow (Wednesday 7th October) starting at 3pm for U8s and 3.30pm for everyone else. Please use the front entrance to the school as the bowl entrance is currently blocked off.

Days 3 & 4 of our Chill Zone project are complete!

What a transformation already. We now have just ONE more day of work to go before our new turf area is finished and ready for the kids.

A massive thank you to Lincoln from Turf and Landscape Solutions for taking on this job and putting so much work into bringing our vision for this space to life.

It’s been amazing watching what was once a muddy, well-used area of our school turn into a space that our kids will be able to enjoy all year round.

We are so grateful to Lincoln and to every single business and person who has contributed their time, skills, materials or sponsorship to make this project possible. This really has been a huge community effort.

Day 2 yesterday of our Chill Zone project!

Ryan from King Road Contracting Ltd was back at it yesterday, making sure the area was fully prepared and ready for the turf to go down.

King Road Contracting is one of our amazing Gold Sponsors, and Ryan has generously donated his time, machinery and expertise to help bring this project to life.

For a small school like ours, support like this makes such a huge difference. Giving up two days of work to help our school is incredibly generous, and we are so grateful to Ryan for getting behind this project and our kids.

Day 1 of the school holidays and the Home & School team were busy preparing our brand-new Chill Zone for the kids.

Today marks the beginning of the first day of this exciting project, and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank the amazing local businesses who have donated their time, skills and materials today to help make it happen:

While this space will be a fantastic Chill Zone for the kids to enjoy, it will also help reduce the mud in the area, which has recently become very muddy due to the increased foot traffic.

We are extremely grateful to every business and person who has supported the Chill Zone. We can’t wait to see this space come together and, most importantly, see our kids enjoying it.

While the school grounds remain open to the public during the holidays, we do ask everyone to please respect the temporary fencing around the work area and not move or pull it down.

There will also be trucks and other vehicles coming and going while work is underway, so please take extra care around the school grounds.

CHAMPIONS! Te Kura o Araheke is incredibly proud to announce that our amazing Year 5/6 Basketball Team has officially won their grade this season! πŸŽ‰

What makes this victory even more spectacular? This is only their second season ever playing basketball! πŸ€βœ¨

Last year, our players stood their ground against tough competition. They took some heavy beatings on the court, but instead of giving up, they used every single game to learn, grow, and build unbreakable determination. Armed with those freshly learned skills and an unstoppable work ethic, they rose all the way to the top of the leaderboard this season! πŸš€πŸ’ͺ
