Christchurch City Council is set to explore the impact of wastewater standards being finalised this year on alternative methods for the disposal of treated wastewater as part of Akaroa’s future wastewater scheme.

Friends of Banks Peninsula will be presenting at the Akaroa Wastewater Hearing on Monday 2nd December, 9:30am at the Gaiety Hall in Akaroa. NOTE NOW POSTPONED.

For those who submitted to the Akaroa Wastewater resource consent application and asked ‘to be heard’ at the hearing you can now email [email protected] or phone 027 5497 661 to book a time slot – we encourage you to do so as it will help to strengthen the community’s case with local knowledge.
