Thank You, Ōpoho!
We are delighted to share that the 2026 Ōpoho Quiz Night raised $1,852 for our school community.
This fantastic result would not have been possible without the generosity of everyone who attended, volunteered, donated prizes, purchased raffle tickets, and helped make the evening such a success.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to the local businesses and organisations that generously supported the event:

A quick reminder to secure your spot for the Ōpoho School Quiz Night, THIS THURSDAY! We have 7 spots left!

Thursday 11 June 2026
NEV Bowls Club
Doors open 6.30pm | Quiz starts 7.00pm
Teams can have up to 6 people, with entry just $40 per team.
This year we have room for 20 teams, so if you've missed out in previous years, now's your chance to join the fun, in the past we’ve had eager beavers, but this year we still have space and need some more teams!
You can also pre-order delicious cheese platters and dessert platters for $25 each when you register.

We'd also love your help with platter donations and assembly on the afternoon of 11 June. If you'd like to contribute food items or lend a hand, please contact Helen in the school office.

Kia Ora Ōpoho Whānau!

It is with great delight that I announce the details for Opoho Quiz Night!

When: Thursday, June 11th 2026
Where: NEV Bowls Club
Time: Doors open 6.30pm, Quiz kick off, 7pm.

Teams are a maximum of 6 people, $40 per team.

We are also providing the opportunity to purchase cheese platters and dessert platters before the event ($25 per platter)

This is always an incredibly popular event, this year because of a change of venue, we now have capacity for 20 teams! So if you've missed out in the past, this is your chance!

HELP AND DONATIONS REQUEST: If you can't make it, we will also need helpers on Thursday afternoon to assemble these pre-sold platters! We would appreciate help and donations of goods (Anything that you would love to eat for these platters) Any goods can be dropped off to Helen at the office 10-11th June, and let us know if you can help Thursday afternoon.

Congratulations to the Easter Raffle winners!

Fancy a bit more sunshine before the end of summer? Bring the family to the Opoho PTA Naseby weekend. The weather forecast in Naseby this weekend is looking good! Only 4 more sleeps to go....

The Opoho PTA Naseby weekend will be on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February 2026.

This weekend is such a highlight of the year for the kids. There is the freedom to ride their bike, have a seemingly endless playdate with tamariki of all ages from school, make huts in the forest, catch tadpoles in the dam, and enjoy some digital detox. Encourage another family to come too, if you feel a bit unsure. It's a great way for adults to have time to hang out with friends too, and to make new ones (or read a book while you child is happy and entertained by the other kids!). There is nothing planned by the PTA in terms of activities. All you need to do is contact Naseby Holiday Park and book your cabin, tent site, or cottage - [email protected]. Families tend to leave after school on the Friday and head home after a picnic lunch by the dam on the Sunday. Go on, it will be fun!

It's almost fair time!! There is still time to make donations to the school of clothes, books, plants, toys/games, and baking!! Please bring any donations to the school. Thank you! See you on Saturday!

Do you have clothes, toys, books, or plants you'd like to donate to the Opoho School Fair?! There are drop off times in the poster, but you can also drop it off at the school this Saturday from 11am-1pm. Someone from the PTA will be on the lower school deck to gratefully receive your donations (come in the Blacks Road gate if you're unsure where to go). If you need us to pick up your donations, we can do that too! Thank you!
