Fancy a bit more sunshine before the end of summer? Bring the family to the Opoho PTA Naseby weekend. The weather forecast in Naseby this weekend is looking good! Only 4 more sleeps to go....

The Opoho PTA Naseby weekend will be on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February 2026.

This weekend is such a highlight of the year for the kids. There is the freedom to ride their bike, have a seemingly endless playdate with tamariki of all ages from school, make huts in the forest, catch tadpoles in the dam, and enjoy some digital detox. Encourage another family to come too, if you feel a bit unsure. It's a great way for adults to have time to hang out with friends too, and to make new ones (or read a book while you child is happy and entertained by the other kids!). There is nothing planned by the PTA in terms of activities. All you need to do is contact Naseby Holiday Park and book your cabin, tent site, or cottage - [email protected]. Families tend to leave after school on the Friday and head home after a picnic lunch by the dam on the Sunday. Go on, it will be fun!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our fair a great community event!! A big shout out to the Weather Gods for the sunshine and to Dunedin City Motors for lending us their amazing BBQ set up for free!

It's almost fair time!! There is still time to make donations to the school of clothes, books, plants, toys/games, and baking!! Please bring any donations to the school. Thank you! See you on Saturday!

Do you have clothes, toys, books, or plants you'd like to donate to the Opoho School Fair?! There are drop off times in the poster, but you can also drop it off at the school this Saturday from 11am-1pm. Someone from the PTA will be on the lower school deck to gratefully receive your donations (come in the Blacks Road gate if you're unsure where to go). If you need us to pick up your donations, we can do that too! Thank you!
