Stopping Violence Dunedin (SVD) is a not for profit organisation based in Dunedin, New Zealand, committed to reducing family violence and other damaging conflict in our communities. People who use SVD's services may be self- referred or referred by the Courts or Probation Services. Initially established as the "Dunedin Men's Action on Family Violence" in 1986, the organisation became 'Sto

pping Violence Dunedin Inc' in 1996. Stopping Violence Dunedin is a Ministry of Justice DVA approved provider of stopping violence group and individual education programmes for male perpetrators, and is an approved provider with with Child Youth and Family. We are a member agency of Te Kupenga Whakaoti Mahi Patunga (the National Network of Stopping Violence), and Jigsaw.
