🏉 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! 👨‍👧‍👦

Today is about celebrating all the dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures who make such a difference — on and off the field.

The ones who teach us to kick a ball, back ourselves, get back up when we’re knocked down… and occasionally remind us that they were definitely better at rugby in their day. Thanks for being there, backing your kids, sharing the laughs and helping create the memories that last long after the final whistle.

Happy Father’s Day from Hurunui Rugby Club!

💙❤️🖤

Our Year 3’s had a fantastic season with some amazing support from their coaches, management & families 💙

FUN FACT: 3 of their players scored over 30 tries each this season 🤩

In their last game of the year, they pulled off a well deserved come from behind win 💪

Well done little legends, we can’t wait to see you back in force next season 🏉

It was a great season for our Year 4 JAB Team…

At the beginning of the season it didn’t look like we would be able to field a side…

We were fortunate to have half our team step up from the Year 3 grade.

They managed to not only compete but walk away from the competition undefeated 💪

Thanks to all the families that got behind the boys and the support from the club to put this talented wee group together.

Here’s a snippet of an exciting last game for the boys this weekend…

Congratulations to our Junior Boys - Champions for 2026 with a 62-21 victory over a tenacious Kaiapoi Junior Boys. The boys were on a heater today and deserved winners. Our thoughts are with our team-mate Sam who broke his leg today during the game! Tusks up and up the hogs!

We are still needing 3 volunteers to assist with parking at the finals day in Rangiora tomorrow 1-2.30.
