The L*D Porridge Invitational is officially green to go!

📍 This Saturday, 16 May
🕜 1:30pm start

We’ll be chasing a solid 2m swell at 18 seconds, with offshore winds and an outgoing tide setting the stage.

🏆 Josh Orr from GOSC has put up a custom L*D surfboard for the winner, with Southland Boardriders contributing 💰 prizes for 2nd–4th place runners-up.

Invited contestants who haven’t yet confirmed availability — please do so by Friday, 5:00pm. We’ve got reserves on tap ready to jump in, if you can’t make it.

🚨RED Status

Classic frustrating conditions—good swell wasted by stubborn persistent NW winds. The L*D Porridge Invitational remains in Red status

If you’re looking to stay in the surf mindset anyway, tuning into the WSL Gold Coast event is a solid call. It’s always a high-performance showcase, and worth keeping an eye out for Oscar Berry riding boards from L*D Surfboards.

Otherwise, checking the offshore conditions at Tree’s could be a nice escape - might at least offer something cleaner if you’re itching to get wet.
