Sockburn Swim Club

Sockburn Swim Club We offer challenging and fun swimming lessons for children. Please feel welcome to come along any Sunday night 6-7pm to have a go, or watch our swimmers.

We are a family orientated, not-for-profit swimming club based at Jellie Park on Sunday nights from 6-7pm. We offer swimming lessons and water safety at an affordable rate for children between the ages of 3-16. Our club has qualified coaches, promotes water safety and has race nights once a term.

Morning all, reminder we have our final swim night tonight before the holiday break. We look forward to seeing you all there. 🏊‍♀️

Afternoon Sockburn families. Reminder that tonight is race night. This is a great chance for your children to practise all the skills they have learnt over the term and have some fun. They will even get to see some of the coaches battle it out for the fastest coach position. Please have your children arrive and sit on the seats by the gym window in ages by 5:50 For a 6pm start. We hope to see you all there.

Thanks everyone for your patience last week with trying the check in system. Tomorrow we will have a tablet so it should make it even easier and we will have it over by the entrance gates so you don’t have to wait in the cold if someone is checking in before you.

Thankyou to those who have paid term 3 fees and a gentle reminder to those who are yet to do this - if you could action this asap that will save us having to chase individuals up 🙂

See you all again tomorrow night.

Welcome back for Term 3 Sockburn Swimmers. Please see attached the newsletter with the terms information.

Afternoon everyone.

Thankyou all for a great race night last week. It was so good to see all the children giving the races a try and all of them had smiles at the end. A highlight of the night was definately the coaches race too!

Just a reminder that we have the final
Night for the term tonight and if your child didn’t get a placing ribbon last week they will get a green participation ribbon tonight.

Looking forward to seeing you tonight.

Some reminders for tonight ☺️

Please make sure your child is wearing their Sockburn swim cap in the pool. We will have some spares tonight if they have been lost/broken. Our swimmers need to wear them for health and safety as well as fast identification in case of an emergency.

Please be careful with parking on Sunday nights at GC. Many local parks are P60, or reserved for mall staff. There’s an overflow carpark for GC with an entrance on Sawyers Arms Road.

If your child won a red ribbon (1st) from Term 1 Race night, they will be available to collect next swim session.

See you on Sunday 7th June ☺️

There is no swimming this Sunday due to Kings Birthday weekend. We hope you enjoy the extra day with your whānau.
