Christchurch Cadet Trust is a registered Charity seeking support for the urgent refurbishment of our historic community building, which has served as a vital hub for youth development and community education for over 70 years.
Your support will directly contribute to: Restoring and repainting key areas of the building
Creating a more welcoming and functional environment for over 350 active cadets and various community groups
Helping us continue to deliver leadership training, educational programmes, and social support services that reach youth, seniors, and underserved populations
As a proud and long-standing part of the local community, we’re committed to preserving this space for current and future generations — and with your support, we can make that happen.
The aim of our project is to refurbish our historic community building to ensure it remains a safe, functional, and welcoming space for youth training, community education, and social support programmes.
This essential upgrade will allow us to continue empowering our local Canterbury and Wigram communities by supporting:
Leadership and life-skills training for over 350 cadets aged 13–20
ESOL education through Hagley Community College
Regular workshops and events that promote personal growth, social connection, and volunteers
Built in the 1940s–50s and steeped in history, the facility now urgently requires refurbishment. With your support, we can preserve this legacy and continue serving future generations.
