The North v. South competition for the Jock Cain Challenge Trophy was held on the second day of the Kaikoura 3 Day Trial. The South won again for the 8th time. This year the South Island riders won all the classes so it was a complete trouncing of the North Island team. the South Island team was Kahu Jones (T3), Glenn Smith (T4), Lance Henderson (T5), Dick Gardner (T6), Kendall McDonald & Hamish Barnett (Sidechair A). The North Island team was Kevin Pinfold (T3), Ashley Lucas (T4), Chris Barclay (T5), Richard Latimer (T6), Scott Tither & Carl Dal Din (Sidechair A)

51 riders and 7 sidechair teams rode the 3 days of the Kaikoura Trial this year. Five riders and two sidechair teams were unlucky not to finish.
Congratulations to Karl Clark, this year’s winner of the K3D and to the other class winners. This was Karl’s third Kaikoura win and his first ride since winning the 2017 nationals.

58 riders and 7 sidechair teams rode on day 2 of the Kaikoura 3 Day Trial. After two days there is close competition in all the grades, particularly in T3, T4 and T5.

Results of today's club trial at Graylee's Road. It was a frosty start and the sections were slippery on the first lap, but it had dried out by lap 2 & 3.
