*Southland Cheese Rolls Fundraiser at the Vegan Night Mākete*

Some of our dedicated volunteers are doing a special Southland-style vegan cheese roll fundraiser at the Night Mākete to help support the Christchurch Vegan Society.

Freshly cooked on the night:
$4 each

Takeaway packs (uncooked):
$10 for 4 rolls

Made with vegan cheese and cream, these take a bit of effort and cost to produce. Every bit raised will go towards supporting CVS mahi and events.

Or we can organise pick up from St Albans by arrangement if you can't make the Mākete.

Made and served by volunteers. If they go well, we may just run the fundraiser again!

The Christchurch Vegan Society will be back at the Christchurch Go Green Expo 🌿

Would you like to help volunteer on our stall? (Not until August, but let us know if you’re interested.) It’s a great chance to chat with people, hang out with other vegans, and help promote the Vegan Night Mākete. It’s also a good opportunity to polish your “whys” and share what inspires you about being vegan 💚

🌱 Organic Gardening with Zero Soil Concept 🌱

We’re excited to share this upcoming workshop, organised by one of our CVS volunteer team: This workshop will explore ways to grow food and connect with the land, including the Zero Soil Concept approach to organic gardening!

Whether you’re a home gardener or just curious about more sustainable growing methods, this is a great chance to learn, ask questions, and get inspired by practical ideas you can take straight back to your own garden.

Vegan Night Mākete is on today at our new venue, the Multicultural Recreation Community Centre in Hagley Park South! 🌱

Come grab dinner, coffee, sweet treats and local vegan goodies from a mix of favourite stalls and new faces. Plus our Gatherings talks are happening inside during the evening if you feel like sitting down, connecting and learning something new.

This weekend is our NEW venue launch! 🌙

Usually the Vegan Night Mākete happens on the last Saturday of the month… but not this one.

Join us for our inaugural Night Mākete at the Multicultural Centre in Hagley Park this Saturday the 23rd.

Expect vegan street food, sweet treats, community, music, and a relaxed evening in a central spot with good access to bike paths, buses, the park, and a bit of parking too.

Tell a friend, share a post, bring your workmates, or email us if you’d like something for your office notice board.

We are doing this and we can’t wait to see you there.

If you’ve thought about having a stall at the Vegan Night Mākete, here’s what you’ll need to do!

We’re getting ready for our launch at the Multicultural Recreation and Community Centre in Hagley Park South on Saturday 23 May, and we’re always keen to support new stallholders.

Please register through our form and get it in early if you can. Early rego means we can include you in promotion and get any questions sorted for you before the night.

Just a reminder this is a fully vegan Mākete. We’re happy to chat through products if you’re unsure, but everything needs to align with the all vegan kaupapa.

We’re officially on the move 🌱

There will be no Vegan Night Mākete on the last weekend in April while we shift venues and get everything ready.

Our new venue is the Multicultural Recreation and Community Centre in Hagley Park South and the launch party is on 23rd May. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

If you have one of our posters up at work, school or in your community please update it or share the new one. DM us or email [email protected] to get a new file. We’ll also have some printed out at the launch.
