We're now setting our sights on the 2019 Fab City Summit in Montreal. Time for Christchurch to bring its expertise in sustainable urbanism and active citizenship to the table!

"Fab City is about surfacing known inventions that haven’t been sufficiently exploited and connecting people to put those ideas into practice at the community level."

The organizers are striving to build a platform where virtually anyone can share ideas and best practices about urban design, workforce development, manufacturing, food production and more.

The Makercrate is on the move!

Spread the word if you know of any community or organisation that is looking to engage their community in making.

The Makercrate has been one of our most successful activation projects engaging 1000s of people in the modern tools of invention over the past 5 years.

It is currently based in Masterton, ready for re-activation!

The Auction is for the container only, but we do have a range of kit and machines, including 3D printers, that can be donated to get you started.

This shipping container has been set-up as a mobile Makerspace called the Makercrate.

After activations starting at Wellington's Makertorium, (New Zealand's first Maker Faire), at Christchurch's Gap Filler hub the Commons and Masterton's Library, the Makercrate is now on the move again!.

If you're interested in activating a maker community, the Makercrate now has a long list of successes.
