Halswell Pottery Group An active group of potters from around Christchurch. The gallery is open weekends 11am-3pm. New members very welcome. We even have a pizza oven!

We have a wide selection of firing facilities including electric, gas and wood-burning kilns, a salt kiln, and a Japanese--style anagama kiln. We also do regular raku firings, pit firing and barrel firing. We have a limited selection of made up glazes for member's use. As wel

Ready to play with some clay and explore your creativity? Halswell Pottery Group offers classes for the beginner or those with a bit more experience. Our tutors will guide you through learning foundational pottery techniques in either throwing on the wheel or hand building, decorating and glazing. Students can develop their own project or create something from a range of tutor-led options. We run classes throughout the year.
