Just attended the NZ Exercise Roadshow hosted by - Thank you for putting on a great seminar with the wonderful . I look forward to going over the information.

Love learning and connecting more about ways to improve my business and how far we can go to help others to get better health and fitness, to be able to support someone every day to prevent diseases and feel better in their bodies, while making a career out of it.

Always enjoy the education days with EXERCISE NZ and highly recommend them, if you’ve never attended.

I am not where I was!

Join me on my journey to getting healthier and strong again after having my 2nd baby.

After the long long nights and days of feeding my baby, eating whatever was put infront of me because let’s face it, if you’re breastfeeding or being nap-trapped you ain’t moving anywhere.

Lack of hydration and all, it all caught up with my body.

From February i started teaching a mums and bubs class and I was moving along with the mamas while also watching their form and watching their pepi.

I also had started back at CityFitness as a Personal Trainer (been with CityFitness since Aug 2023) and back to my job but permanently as a medical receptionist, I had to find my feet.

I slowly started focusing on the little things, like going for walks, training when I could in the gym doing postnatal workouts (strengthening my pelvic floor and deep core) as well as looking at my portion control with food.

I’ve been focusing with this and now following a meal plan which helps my busy life and I don’t need to think about 1. What am I going to eat? And 2. Prepping in advance with more than 1 portion so 1 is for dinner and the other is for lunch.

It’s not easy to say the least and while I stick to the food (not always the order) I do my best, don’t dwell on what I haven’t achieved and focus on what I can control.

It took a while to put together, but tomorrows meals are prepped and ready for a busy day!

🆙 Up at 6am to get myself and baby girl ready for preschool and me to start work by 7:45am

📌Finish work at 12pm, pickup baby girl by 12:30 from preschool and get to playcentre for babies can play in spreydon by 1pm (we will already be 30 minutes late)

⏰ Leave spreydon at 3pm and get home around 3.20pm and home for just over an hour before going to start personal training until 7pm.

• Building muscle requires energy (calories) to repair and grow muscle fibres after strength training.
• When your sleep, nutrition, and stress levels are good, your body can recover properly and build that muscle.
• Muscle tissue is metabolically active, meaning the more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns throughout the day, even at rest.
• This increased energy demand can help your body burn stored fat, especially when paired with good nutrition and consistent training.

The “154 calories” number sometimes gets mentioned in fitness posts, but the real takeaway isn’t the exact number - it’s that muscle growth increases overall calorie burn and improves body composition.

done this morning, feeling quite tired and feeling it after my workout today. A reminder to take it easy and not push too much as my body is still finding its “feet” again so to speak.

Mums and Bubs class is on fire right now, mamas are moving, while interacting with their pepi - I love seeing the interaction, the movement, the sweat and knowing my mamas are leaving feeling they worked hard, but safely.

Our mamas can turn up, only looking half human and walk out feeling better than they arrived, then catching up for coffee to create connections. My classes are $5 per mama to keep it affordable, breaking the barrier and using your baby as a progressive weight, since your baby keeps growing.

Got injuries? I can provide you with regressions or if you are ready for more of a challenge (while looking after your pelvic floor) I can provide progressions as well. But when you first start training, you're not going to have the same fitness and strength you once did, so be kind to yourself and your body and start off gentle.
