Tēnā Koutou katoa,

I’m Whitney Bennett the Director and Founder of Ahikā Education, Training and Employment, and Fire Recruitment.

As a young adult I started in Employment Services, which over the past 19 years has provided opportunities across New Zealand and Australia, from Corporate to Trade and everything in between.

Ahikā was formed after noticing the need to address the guidance gap for youth (16-24) that are leaving school with no Education, Employment or Training.

Many young people face a challenging transition from education to the workforce, often lacking the guidance, support, skills and resources required to do so successfully.

The journey to finding mana-enhancing career opportunities can be daunting without proper resources or not knowing where to start.
It's crucial for young people to have access to resources and mentorship that can help them explore their options, build essential hard and soft skills, and connect with opportunities that align with their passions and goals.

That’s where we come in!

Ahikā Education, Training and Employment are committed to bridging this gap and providing the support needed for a smoother transition with our Whakamana Rangatahi Programme, through mentorship programs, career workshops, financial literacy, confidence building, or one-on-one coaching, we believe every young person deserves to be equipped with the tools and guidance to navigate their career or further education path confidently.

If you’re between 16 and 24 years of age searching for your next step, let’s work together to create pathways to success- reach out to us for support.

If you’re involved in a business that would like to collaborate with us to support our Rangatahi into opportunities, whether that be in Education, Training and/or Employment then reach out to us to discuss how you can get involved in programs that make a difference.

Together, we can turn uncertainty into opportunity and help our youth build a bright and promising future.
