Manuka Cottage Addington Community House Incorporated Mānuka Cottage is a Community Center. Mānuka Cottage is a registered Charity CC30500 most activities are free. Lunch $2, Hot Drinks 20c Biscuits 20c.

It is a safe place for people to come, connect and participate in groups, activities, projects where everybody is welcome and accepted! Manuka Cottage is a Community Development Hub in Addington concerned with the well-being of Addington and wider area. Manuka Cottage is a physical base providing a warm, friendly and safe place for you to participate in the many activities, groups or projects run

in the community. It is designed to encourage participation, develop friendships to overcome loneliness, and establish a sense of belonging. The activities & groups include Walking Groups, Art, Women's Day, Cards, Scrabble, Board Games, Community Lunch, PlayGroup, Bingo/Housie, Crafts, etc. Donations warmly accepted. Pop in for a hot drink and check out what this community is up to! 🍛 The ever popular Cooks Collective pop up restaurant is on again this Friday and every 2nd Friday of the month. 6-7.30pm, $16 mains, $3 drinks, $4 desserts. PayWave and cash. Delicious cuisines from Afghanistan, Eritrea, Nepal and Pakistan. All proceeds go the former refugee women who cooks this beautiful food! Share Kai

Do you have teenagers at home (16+) looking for hospitality work experience and a reference for their CV?

We have 1 spot left for a local rangatahi living in Addington who might want to volunteer at the Cooks Collective (Share Kai) restaurant that runs once a month at our place.

Volunteers get to learn hospitality skills in supportive community environment, get a free meal each shift they work and a free barista course thanks to Hagley College, plus a reference for your CV. You’ll also get to meet lots of other young people from the area who are part of the programme too.
