It's always great to hear about success from our club members! One of our newer members contacted us recently to tell us about improvements he has seen in his fishing since joining the club.

"When I joined CFCC, I was mainly hoping to expand my fishing skillset and in particular, fly-fishing in rivers. On the 2024 Temuka trip, I was given some pointers and taught a few things. Having absorbed some of the knowledge and waiting patiently for October to roll back around, I have now caught two 5-pounders from separate small rivers on nymphs. Still a lot to learn, but the signs of progress are there and I’m very glad I joined the club. "

Well done - we look forward to what you do next! 😃

Check out this fabulous video made when club member Chris Vallance was teaching a flatmate how to fish for the first time. The pair brought back a good catch of rig and gurnard and his mate now loves fishing. You can read more about this story in the August newsletter. Great work on sharing your skills Chris!
