A chance to connect with other Rotarians and clubs. Collaborate while enjoying some fresh air, followed by a sausage or two. :-)

Save the date! Saturday 30th August at the Dallington Landing Rotary Peace Park. 1pm - 4pm finishing with a shared BBQ. Calling all Rotarians in the wider Christchurch area to come and be part of a team to plant and add mulch to this significant park of 54K native trees. This is a small planting on this date.
Its a great networking opportunity for clubs to get together along with Conservation Volunteers Christchurch and the Christchurch City Council volunteers.

The Market Ops committee, chaired by Angie, hosted this evenings meeting of the Riccarton Rotary.

She shared how the Riccarton Sunday Market will look to becoming more sustainable in the near future. From the growing recycling hub that is already at the market, to dedicated recycling stations in the food court and our very own worm farms. The vision is that the market will become more circular with its waste and more sustainable overall.

Angie also updated on how the market was performing and responded to questions and queries from interested members.

The meeting also saw Corin and Murray being presented with their trophy for coming last in the recent fundraising quiz.

A little change in the format of our lunchtime meeting today, a tad more compact that usual, or maybe we were just cosy. Nevertheless, a very informative and inspiring presentation by Stuart Ennor from Kairos. Not just offering a hand out but a hand up to those in need.
