Shirley Community Trust A charitable Trust set up in 1999 to respond to the needs of the Shirley Community holistically throu Professional Barista Training for the cost of just $7.

- The Trust office is located at 77c Briggs Road.
- Our Community Centres ( MacFarlane Park Neighbourhood Centre (MPNC), and Park Centre) are located at 17 and 19 Acheson Ave. SOME OF OUR INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMMES:
Community Hub/Neighbourhood Centre ~
Mondays and Wednesdays 10am-2pm, $2 barista trainee made coffee available and good company for a chat. Shirley Sparkling Stars ~
Mondays 9.30am at

the MacFarlane Park Centre, preschool music group, $3 per family

Barista Training ~
Mondays 10am-1.30pm, Wednesdays 10am-1.30pm at the Neighbourhood Centre. Priority is given to Shirley locals and there is often a waiting list. Foot Care Clinic ~
Enjoy a foot spa, nail care overseen by a Registered Nurse and a relaxing foot massage in a warm and welcoming environment! Clinics are held on a Tuesday every 3 weeks. Appointments essential. Cost: $15. At the Neighbourhood Centre. (Unfortunately we cannot take those with insulin-dependent diabetes). Phone Sharyn on 022 621 8269, or SCT office 981 5521, leave your name plus phone number and we will return your call with an appointment time. Knit and Knatter ~
New knitters are always welcome to join those who meet on yellow bin Wednesdays to knit for good causes at the Neighbourhood Centre. For more information contact Sue, 027 614 9600. Fruit and Vege Co-op ~
Wednesday, 10am-2pm pick up at Neighbourhood Centre.
$15 a bag! Fresh, flavoursome produce. Ring Sharyn 022 621 8269 by Friday afternoon to pay and order. Kidzone ~
Wednesday 3.30-4.30pm during term time at the MacFarlane Park Centre. Free after school programme for primary school aged children, offering crafts, games, life skills, etc. Afternoon tea provided. Te Reo Māori ~
Wednesday 6.30pm at MacFarlane Park Centre. Free class. Community Garden (off Jebson St) ~
Thursdays (mornings in summer months and afternoons in winter months)
Locals come and garden together. MacFarlanes on the Park Café ~
