Canterbury Volkswagen Enthusiast Club

Canterbury Volkswagen Enthusiast Club Rolling since 1986, the Canterbury Volkswagen Club brings together VW lovers of every kind. From classics to modern dubs, every VW is welcome.

We run regular cruises, meets and events that keep the community buzzing and the Volkswagen spirit alive. The Canterbury Volkswagen Enthusiast Club was formed in July 1986 to cater for owners of these German automobiles. Its aim is to provide the opportunity for people to meet others with a common interest. Families and friends are all welcome. The club was formed with the intention of being low-cost, easy going, and of course enjoyable for all those involved. Events are held on a regular basis, and a newsletter comes out bi-monthly. The club caters for all Volkswagens, from early vehicles right through to the new Beetle.

Rain couldn't stop the VW crew! We had a stellar turnout for the run over the hill, bringing together everything from classic bugs to a single electric Golf. The Valley Inn was absolutely buzzing with brilliant conversation and seriously good company. Big thanks to Maureen, Phil, and Kathleen for organizing this event, and a huge shout-out to everyone who traveled from Ashburton and the newcomers who joined us—it’s always great to see fresh faces at our club events! Please feel free to share any photos you got along the way.
