Rawhiti OSCAR Rawhiti OSCAR Afterschool and Holiday Programme. Rawhiti OSCAR is an afterschool and holiday programme.

Because of our background in sport, this is one of the focuses of our programme. Everyday, children will have the option to participate in high quality physical education sessions with one of our staff members. Children are also given assistance with their homework by a staff member during the allocated homework time. We also have projects for those children who are creative.

Day 10 – Movies and one last adventure! 🎬

For our final day of the holiday programme, we headed to the movies to see The Forgotten Island, then decided to squeeze in a visit to Ascot Playground. There were even a few races against the staff! We’re now enjoying our last afternoon chilling out back on site.

A big thank you to all our tamariki for the fun, laughter and adventures, to our families for your support, and to our wonderful staff for all your hard work over the past two weeks.

We’ve loved spending these holidays with you. Enjoy the weekend, and we’ll see you in Term 4!

Day 8 – Swimming 🌊

Swimming is always a favourite during our holiday programme! This time, we decided to head to Pioneer Pool, as we thought it might be somewhere many of the kids hadn’t visited before.

They absolutely loved the wave pool! There was plenty of splashing, laughter and fun riding the waves with their friends. Another awesome holiday outing!

Day 7 - Pokémon Day! ☀️

The kids got creative making their very own Pokémon and creatures, with plenty of colourful and imaginative creations!

We enjoyed lunch at Thompson Park, then made the most of the beautiful day with a trip to the beach to build sandcastles and fly kites.

To finish the day, we headed to Rāwhiti Domain for a Pokémon hunt! A fun day full of creativity, sunshine and adventure.

Day 6 – Sweet As Waffles 🧇

We kicked off our second week with a visit to Seaside Playground before heading to Sweet As Waffles for a delicious treat!

A huge thank you to Brad from Sweet As Waffles, who opened his shop especially for us today. We really appreciate you making time for our group and helping make our day extra special!

Day 4 - Spring Has Sprung! 🌻

Today we got creative painting terracotta pots and making grass heads to go inside them. Each one had its own personality, and we can’t wait to see their grassy hair grow!

We also planted sunflower seeds to take home and watch grow, then headed to Thompson Park for lunch and some playground fun.

A lovely day of creating, planting and enjoying the outdoors!

🐴 Day 3 – Horse Riding!

Such a cool day out for our tamariki today! Everyone got the chance to meet the horses, learn a little about them and, of course, have a turn riding. 🐎

There were plenty of smiles and some very brave riders. A pretty awesome way to spend Day 3 of our school holiday programme!
