Disability events added to What’s On

One of Christchurch’s favourite events webpages is making it easier to find out what disability events are happening in the city. What’s On Christchurch has added a new disability events programme tile under the “what” drop down, where organisations can list information for the community. The What’s On platform is a guide to help residents and visitors find out about events, activities and programmes happening in Ōtautahi-Christchurch.

Where do used batteries belong?

If put in wheelie bins, batteries can potentially harm staff and members of the public. They also contain numerous components that are bad for the environment. Loose batteries can be put in a drop-off box at your nearest EcoDrop or at a participating retail store. Visit the WasteMINZ website for a map.

Used batteries belong in battery recycling units.

Survey to help understand what ageing well looks like in our communities.
The Aotearoa New Zealand National Forum for the Decade of Healthy Ageing is working to understand what ageing well looks like for people in their own communities, and what needs to change so more people can thrive as they age.

The forum is inviting New Zealanders aged 55+ to take part in a short survey. It asks how confident you feel about your future, what helps you stay active and involved, and what would make the biggest difference to ageing well where you live.

Take this survey powered by surveymonkey.com. Create your own surveys for free.
