We held our concert on Friday 10th March. The New Brighton Silver Band and other performing artists were fantastic. Listening to a rendering of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody played on brass was unforgettable. Also beautiful renditions of "the prayer", lion King, Skyfall and :You'll Neveer walk alone." Phil Norton played his own composition tango "Reuben in Beunos Aires", while John Bird played his own piano transcription of Bach's "Lento" from String suite 3bwv 1068. Emma Mc Bride sang the inaugural performance of a song written in the 1940's and never performed previously called "light in the window". It was a very entertaining evening enjoyed by a small audience of about 50 people.
It also brought some very generous donations totalling approximately $2000 towards water tanks for the Ingwavuma orphan community. Today we have been able to transfer enough funds to the Isibani Sethemba account for the purchase of 6 water tanks. A big thank you to all those who made this possible.đŸ˜€
