Beautification and Renewal

Look out for some work being done on our Reserve gardens in the next two weeks as we continue to see improvement in our Northwood green spaces.

Phase one - starting week of April 13
Lassiter Green and the walkways through to O'Neill
Mounter Reserve

Phase two - starting week of April 20
Waterford Reserve particularly around the playground paths

There will be a bit of disruption around walkway access during this process as old shrubs and plants are removed so look out for cones!!

Please report any occurrence of wasps in a particular area. It’s likely that there is a nest nearby.

Don’t disturb a wasp nest if you find one

What a great day to make a start on re-painting the Arch Structures around Northwood, kicking off with the Crombie Green and Ross Place Arch’s. A huge thanks to the team who got us off the ground today (tagged in). We were done and dusted in 2.5hrs including coffee and muffin break.
The Arches look stunning and it’s been great to have feedback from residents passing and living near by, ask the colour so they can paint their fences.
The colour of the Arches is “Resene 1/4 Craigieburn”.

Many thanks to Matt and the team at Strawberry Fare for our coffees and Binu for the yummy muffins.

Other residents who helped but can’t be tagged in are Debbie Johanson, Alex Skinner, Neil McCarthy and Blaine Ching.

Our next paint morning is Feb 28th
10am - 12:30pm

Hi Community,
We mentioned at the AGM we’d love to get a group of capable volunteers to transform the arched structures around Northwood and take them from 25 year old mustard/yellow to more current concrete colourings. You don’t have to do all but it would be great to have a group of people to call upon and work through one at a time to rejuvenate the structures and protect our ageing subdivision from looking dated. It’ll protect the look and desirability of the subdivision. If you are keen, willing and able to be on a group we call upon, if you like project managing groups, then please contact us by messenger or tag yourself here and we’ll contact you.
We get that we’re all busy but if there are any active relaxers out there who enjoy the dd day doing community projects and building community then we’d love to hear from you. 😃
