We are incredibly proud to introduce our Broadfield Netball Club Patrons, Barbara Smith and Judith Smith.
This recognition celebrates not only their extraordinary contribution to our club but also the lasting legacy they have created for generations of Broadfield players.
In 1984, Judith Smith revived Broadfield Netball Club after it had ceased operating, giving our club a new beginning. It is thanks to her that we wear maroon today. Then, in 1996, Judith and Barbara played instrumental roles in one of the greatest achievements in our club’s history—raising an incredible $50,000 in just one year to build the two netball courts at Broadfield Domain that we are still fortunate to use today. If you have ever been involved in raising funds you will appreciate how incredible that is!
As our courts celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, we couldn’t think of a more fitting time to honour the women whose vision, determination, and countless hours of hard work made them possible.
Barbara and Judith, thank you for your dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Broadfield Netball Club. Your efforts have shaped our club for decades, and we are delighted to recognise you both as our Club Patrons.
