Last week we held our E Tū Tāngata Impact Dinner in Tauranga. It was special to have a room full of like-minded people come together to hear about the impact E Tū Tāngata is having across schools, businesses, and communities.

It was also a great excuse for the E Tū Tāngata team to get dressed up!

We heard from Dr Victoria Leggett about what the research is showing, Nicky Geldard about why more and more schools are choosing to implement E Tū Tāngata, and Phil and Sarah Blackburn about the impact E Tū Tāngata has had within their PAK’nSAVE Rolleston store and wider community.

And our CVO (Chief Vision Officer), Jay Geldard, got a little fired up sharing his passion for where E Tū Tāngata is heading and our vision to eliminate Tall Poppy Syndrome within a generation.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the night. Bay of Plenty, thanks for having us!

Next stop, Christchurch on Thursday 29 October. We’re looking forward to doing it all again.

Today we celebrated 50 E Tū Tāngata member schools!

24 months ago, we set ourselves a target of reaching 50 schools.
But interestingly, we deliberately chose not to focus heavily on E Tū Tāngata’s external growth. Instead, we’ve spent the last two years investing internally. That has meant investing in our people, research, resources, systems and technology so that as E Tū Tāngata grows, growth doesn’t come at the expense of impact.

Reaching 50 schools was a pretty cool moment, but now our sights are on the next 100.

Our challenge isn’t simply getting schools to join. It’s making sure we continue to support every school to implement E Tū Tāngata really well and see genuine culture shift. Because the goal has never been the number of schools but to eliminate Tall Poppy Syndrome within a generation.
