Polite reminder to all users of the hall NOT to park in the private lane or local residents reserved parking, NOT on any vegetation and also NOT in the Car Park opposite the hall - it's reserved and owned by the shop owners. We know parking is an issue at the hall, and we are working with the council on longer term solutions to parking, but in the meantime, give yourselves a little more time to find parks on nearby streets, or there are a limited number of parks diagonally behind the hall (use the 1 way system going in on the right) and on the front of the hall, if you can coordinate not blocking other people in. Thanks

OPEN DAY TODAY: If you've not seen the hall, come for a walk through TODAY anytime from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.

We're gathering thoughts, ideas and opinions on the Roy Stokes Hall in New Brighton.

Led by a group of Ara students helping with our feasibility study, which is being organised by www.rslc.nz

You may have seen the hall, but come check out the side rooms, the under stage rooms, the large kitchen, the storage rooms, toilets, etc, and dream and brainstorm what it could be!

While it has served the community well, it has seen limited modernisation since it was opened in 1977, so we'd love to hear from you how it can better meet the needs of our community, both now and into the future. It continues to be used daily by groups such as the Christchurch Circus School, Defy Dance, GKR Karate, DanceFit and Pitter Patter Dance, but the hall and all its side rooms are not being used to their full capacity and it’s crying out for modernisation.

Your feedback will directly inform a feasibility study that will help shape what happens next.
Complete this survey anytime: www.surveymonkey.com/r/B295W6Q

Survey Closes Monday 1st June. Please share with others in the community, we want to hear as many voices as possible.

SURVEY - Help Shape the Future of the Roy Stokes Hall

We want to hear from you! www.surveymonkey.com/r/B295W6Q

In 2023, the Youth Alive Trust became custodians of Roy Stokes Hall on Seaview Street, New Brighton and we are now exploring how it can better meet the needs of our community, both now and in the future.

Built in 1977, the hall has supported the former Central New Brighton School and a wide range of local groups. While it has served the community well, it has seen limited modernisation.

This is your chance to tell us what matters most, whether that’s improved facilities, accessibility, sustainability, or new ways the spaces could be used. Your feedback will directly inform a feasibility study that will help shape what happens next

Have your say and be part of what comes next for Roy Stokes Hall.

Survey Closes Sunday 24 May.

Please share with others in the community, we want to hear as many voices as possible.
