On the 27th of August 2023 we had High School students from the North Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence Culture Study Tour come to Christchurch to learn about the Korean Community and visit the Songpa-gu Korean Garden.

It's great to see students taking interest in North Asian Counties.

With our recent unveiling of the Canterbury Korean War Veterans Pavilion - here are some behind the scenes moments of how the pavilion and pyeongsang came to life in the Songpa Korean Garden! 🌲

Lincoln University 3rd Year Landscape Architecture students and lecturer Don Royds dedicated their knowledge and time during May - assisting with landscaping, initial foundation work and planning for the pavilion, in addition to creating a brand new pyeongsang for our garden. We are extremely appreciative to have had the students join us and become involved in this journey over the past year. 감사합니다! 👏🏻
