For those of us who experience anxiety, social events can be very stressful!
We may spend the hours leading up to the event worrying about what may happen, and then later on at home, we might run through every conversation that we had in our heads. Sometimes, we can get so caught up in these thoughts that we find it difficult to enjoy ourselves, or we may start avoiding social situations altogether.
It's important to remember that often, these thoughts that we have about ourselves aren't actually true. By noticing these thoughts when they come up, and shifting them to ones that are more balanced and realistic, we can feel better and start living the lives that we want to lead.
If any of this sounds familiar to you, just know that social anxiety doesn’t have to rule your life. Our free, proven and effective Social Anxiety course is based on cognitive behavioural therapy, and we’ve had some great feedback from our learners that the course has helped them significantly!
