A quick reminder that Brighton Beach House will be closing at 6pm today.

We’ll reopen bright and early on Saturday mornning, all set to welcome Broad Park parkrun with a well‑deserved hot beverage and freshly made scones!

Are you planning on walking tomorrow at Broad Park parkrun #199, Sat 13 June? Want to earn a volunteer credit while doing so?
We need a tailwalker tomorrow, so if you can help out, email [email protected]!

Will you be lured away by Riverlution parkrun's first birthday this weekend Sat 13 June, or will you remain stalwart and loyal to Broad Park? (Rumour has it even one of our event directors is going to Riverlution, lured by the promise of cake)

For the true Broadcore, we need the following volunteers this weekend for Broad Park parkrun #199, Sat 13 June:

If you want to walk/run as usual
- event day course check (10km running for the price of 5)
- parkwalker
- tailwalker

If you don't want to walk/run this week (e.g.; if tapering for parkyard ultra next week)
- finish tokens
- finish token support
- barcode scanning
- marshal
- photographer

Be sure to admire the well-appointed course markers at Broad Park parkrun on Saturday - Brian Tyro has just lugged the sprayer around to help ensure they remain visible! Apparently he's now rehydrating with a well-earned pint of Guinness. Thanks to Brian and as always to Christchurch City Council including Ranger Warren for all their support with our course!

Hi team, it's a new month which means our monthly Sunday run This Sunday 14th June

We will start from Broad Park again at the same location as the parkrun and head north into Bottle Lake Forest. This will be a 70 minute out and back (35 each way). This is to accommodate all paces. We'd love to see many of you there so everyone has someone to run with at their chosen pace. Afterwards some of us will pop over to the Brighton Beach House cafe for further chats.

We are aware it's officially winter so we will push the start time back 30 minutes to 8:30 so we are all done a bit before 10. Map attached shows rough area covered. Those going at 5min/km should hit Spencer Park but we will all finish at the same time back at Broad Park. Hope to see you there!

After some behind-the-scenes work, we finally have a new logo for Run New Brighton! This is also a sneak peek at what you’ll be seeing on our merchandise.

We wanted something simple, clean, and easy to wear while still creating a design that represents our community.
