✨ VOTE FOR ME - WESTFIELD LOCAL HEROES FINALIST ✨

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been named one of three finalists for the Westfield Local Heroes program this year! A massive thank you to Nia from Te Tahi Youth for the nomination!

Te Tahi Youth is a Youth One Stop Shop offering medical, sexual, and mental health services, as well as mentoring and employment assistance - all at no cost. I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Trustee for the past 5 years and have witnessed firsthand the profound impact of their work.

As a finalist, I’ve already secured at least $5,000.00 in funding for Te Tahi Youth. If I win, we could receive an incredible $20,000.00 in funding. The winner will be chosen through community votes.

Your vote can make a huge difference! With your help, we can secure the $20,000.00 in funding that will allow us to make a greater impact on the lives of young people in our community.

Introducing Shona!

Hello, My name is Shona and I'm a 21 year old film student at Yoobee Colleges Christchurch campus.

I first joined the youth committee back in 2020 when I was 17 to help further improve youth mental health awareness in Canterbury, and over the past 3 years, I have increased my scope to improving health outcomes for rainbow youth and improving sexual health services for young people.

Outside of studying and committee work, I'm a fan of Japanese lo**ta street fashion, and I regularly meet up with the local Christchurch lo**ta community for meet-ups like high teas and lunches. I also enjoy playing online video games like Final Fantasy XIV as well as more casual, cozy games like Stardew Valley.

Kia ora, my name is Paige! I am just about to graduate from UC with a Law and Commerce double degree, and I am currently working as a Law Clerk. I love anything to do with community and sit on a few different non-profit boards that I am really passionate about. I started up the Youth Committee way back in 2019 and have also sat on the Te Tahi board since then. Outside of work, study and volunteering I love spending time with our three dogs (Angel, Theo and Luna), going to the gym, and I LOVE Taylor Swift! hi everyone! my name is Annabelle and I’m super stoked to be on the Te Tahi Youth Committee this year. I am currently finishing up year 13 and plan on studying a bachelor of commerce starting next year. Youth health is something I have always been extremely passionate about, I hope to be able to give back and help my peers.
