Dîner en Blanc wrapped Architecture Week with big energy — white fits, good food, loud laughs, and a community that shows up.

It wouldn’t have been the same without the people who helped set the tone for the evening. The final evening of Architecture Week deserves something special.

Dîner en Blanc brings together the people shaping Aotearoa’s built environment for a night of French dining, jazz, conversation and celebration. We will also honour this year’s NZIA Fellowship recipient, recognising a career of exceptional contribution to architecture.

Then, as the evening shifts gears, expect French electronic rhythms, a full dance floor, and a memorable close to the week.

Dress in white. Join the celebration. Places are strictly limited.

The Canterbury branch has arranged an update session with Christchurch City Council’s Building Consenting and Planning teams

Council staff will speak to:

Building consenting

Common RFIs and where documentation is consistently falling short
Lodging for faster processing, and how best to respond to RFIs
Changes to what CCC is looking for in documentation, and what is coming
Planning

The RMA reform and how it will play out locally
Recent and upcoming District Plan changes
Lodging resource consents well, and working better together

Expect approximately 1–1.5 hours, including time for questions. The session is uncatered. All NZIA members and their teams are welcome; CCC staff will also be attending.
