The art was superb this year though fewer people entered the visual art category than in previous years. The theme was a tough one to translate into an art work but those that entered cracked that nut!! There was some very clever interpretation of the various elements of the theme - Seeding Change: A Feast for the Future.
The exhibition is currently on at Tūranga until the 13 July. Thank you to Gordon Harris The Art & Graphic Store for providing the first prize vouchers and for our other sponsors: Trees For Canterbury, Ferrymead Rotary, Future Curious, Further Faster, Christchurch Envirohub Orana Wildlife Park

What a wonderful day FINALS DAY was on Friday 26 June. All the speakers were superb which made the job of teh judging panel really difficult. It was truly hard determining who would take prizes home - everyone deserved accolades for being passionate enough to write a speech, practice and perform in front of a live audience. Tino pai rawa!!

🏅What a marvellous day FINALS DAY was🎖️ Thank you to all participants - you made the judges work hard. They had real difficulty selecting those people who would take home prizes. 🏆You can all be proud of your mahi - each of you spoke passionately about the issues covered by SDG 2 🎉 Celebrate your achievements!!💚 Plains FM recorded all speeches and spoken word showcases - they will be come a podcast🎤- we will let you know where when the podcast is ready. 🎬Dave also filmed all speeches - they will be put up on our YouTube channel soon.
