Part Two! Introducing the second half of our Exec Team 🤩

The Engagement Team are all about connecting with our wider community and, of course, YOU! This charming bunch help our club reach everyone we can, because, volunteering can’t happen without the people behind it.

The Logistics Duo keeps the cogs running smoothly. They sort all our resources and make sure no shovel or wheelbarrow gets left unaccounted for.

And then, the coolest team (no bias), Marketing! This is the team behind every post, picture and reel. At an event and see an Exec member roaming around doing nothing but holding a camera? That’s us! 📸

Let us introduce ourselves! We can’t believe we’ve gone a whole semester without showing you who is behind all the awesome things we do! Here is the first half of our Exec Team.

Our leadership team is always hard at work making sure the team is running smoothly, finer details are sorted and all the paperwork is done (Thanks 😋)

Then, we have our lovely Platoons Team! These cool people are behind our smaller weekly events that you all love.

The Events Team are behind our big termly events. They work all term round preparing for these. All so we get to enjoy an awesome experience while volunteering.

Reminiscing about camp right about now 😢 We had so much fun at camp a couple weeks ago that we just can’t help looking back while we’re stuck studying for our exams. The amount of passion and all round amazing vibes from everyone who joined us was phenomenal. We hope to see you all at our next one in Semester 2 😋. Happy studying and good luck for all exams and final assignments.

Stress less during study week with SVA!

Looking for something to disrupt the study blues? Need a creative outlet amongst all the lecture slides?

Well look no further and come along to the SVAs ‘Knit a Square’ event! 🧶

We will be knitting squares (crocheting is also allowed) which will be turned into blankets for preemie babies in the neo-natal units across Aotearoa!

NO prior knitting experience is required! We can teach you everything on the day, so if you are a complete beginner, this event is still for you! Experienced knitters are welcome to bring their own needles if they want, but all materials will be provided on the day.

Come along for a relaxed afternoon of craft and get away from studying for a few hours. We hear tea and snacks will be provided as well...

Venue is the SVA Office. Follow Forestry Rd past the Forestry Building towards Creyke Rd, there will be signs on your right!
