Interesting considering all the rain we have had recently

😕 Hey Waipā! We’re currently using around 35 million litres of water a day, compared with the usual 25 million litres for this time of year.

💧 Because of this, we’re now in water restriction level one – sprinklers can be used between 6–8am and 6–8pm only (hand-held hoses can be used at any time).

Things are not peachy!

Water use has been really high this week – high enough that if it keeps trending this way, we could be heading towards water restrictions for summer.

That’ll be a bummer 😕

Hello I have Decided after a long time coming that Cambridge was missing an Association for the People the Rate payers here in Cambridge/Waipa and here we are .

The Cambridge Waipa Rate Payers Association represents the collective voice of local ratepayers across Cambridge and the wider Waipā District. Our purpose is to advocate for fair, transparent, and responsible use of public funds, ensuring that rates are set at sustainable levels and deliver real value to our community.

We work to keep residents informed, engaged, and heard on matters that affect local rates, services, infrastructure, and long-term planning. By monitoring decisions made by local authorities and encouraging open dialogue, the Association aims to promote accountability and good governance in the interests of current and future ratepayers.

The Association is independent, non-partisan, and community-driven. We welcome all ratepayers who share a commitment to protecting affordability, supporting sensible growth, and safeguarding the wellbeing of Cambridge and the Waipā district.
