What an absolute awesome 3 days of dog training with Mia Skogster
Informative, entertaining and just a great time.
So far the feedback has been great, thanks to those who have taken the time to contact me since the seminar has finished.

Huge thanks to Mia for coming to NZ and being so free with all your advice, looking forward to being able to put that information into practice.

Big thanks also to my club members who all put in huge effort to help keeping things running smoothly.

Thanks to Waikato Obedience Dog club for allowing us to use their club rooms for the 3 days.

To Apex for giving up their training day on Saturday.

Massive thanks to Mike, Sherie and Brogan Draper for all their work over the 3 days in keeping the kitchen running, keeping things clean, for organizing the TV and the internet and everything else in between as well as participating in the seminar, you are all stars.

To Uber Jim ;) who stayed back on the Friday late to pick Mia up, after the dramas of transport and busing her to and from the seminar each day and dropping her back to Auckland on Monday night for her to catch the plane to Australia.

To Kelly Daniels who took photos for us which will be uploaded once we have them all.

To Andrew Rabbitt who cooked the meal on the Sunday night, it was outstanding.

To everyone who helped me by running and getting items that i required being on crutches, much appreciated.

It was an awesome effort from a small club to put on the best seminar in NZ this year.

We look forward to Mia coming back soon........

On a sad note there were a number of people who chose to break the rules regarding photos and bringing dogs without permission, sadly that will prevent them attending any upcoming seminars run by our club but I am sure there will be many others who missed out on this one that will jump at the chance next time..

The countdown is on for our most anticipated seminar of 2026.
Thanks to everyone who has made their final payment that was due end of January.
If you have a working spot you will have been contacted.
For everyone we will be emailing out the information regarding start times for each day shortly.
Don't forget your pen and paper for the theory part each day.
Please NO DOGS unless you have a working spot unless you have permission. You will be asked to leave if you turn up with a dog. It will still be hot and under no circumstances will we allow dogs in hot cars.

Just over 5 weeks to the seminar.

Finally payment is required now to ensure your spot.

Please do not bring dogs if you do not have a working spot, there is not a lot of trees for shade for dogs in cars, so only vehicles with dogs will be allowed to park on the grounds.

Those with dogs, you will be sent a parking slip so you will be able to access the grounds and park under the trees.

Anyone bringing dogs without permission will be asked to leave... THERE WILL BE ZERO TOLLERANCE for dogs left in vehicles without shade.

Working spots - those with working spots will be contacted in the next few days
Only those who have fully paid by the 30th will be considered for the working spots .

There may be a few of Mia's book available to purchase if you contact me in advance

Congratulations to team member Jim McGovern for winning the Wesenhund Maserati memorial trophy for the most improved handler of 2025.
The massive improvement in his handling and training skills is a pleasure to watch and we look forward to seeing Jim and his rocket fueled star on the trial field in 2026.
Congrats Jim McGovern a well deserved accolade

We are very excited that the world class trainer Mia Skogster is coming to NZ in March next year.
Mia needs very little introduction and one only has to watch the multitude of YouTube clips or Instagram to be in awe of her ability in training dogs.
If you are interested in attending send us an email for more information along with the form to fill out
$550 for 3 days of theory and practical obedience

We have been offered the chance to have 2 times world champion Mia Skogster come to NZ in 2026, are there any interested parties ?? PM this would be 3 day seminar on learning obedience from one of the best in the business.

Price would be $500ish for 3 days regardless of working spot or spectator,
Working spots will be allocated by NZWM, you would need to fill in form so any extra spots available can be chosen on different ages ability,
NZWM rules apply to what dogs can participate in a NZWM seminar
