We run Kea (ages 5-8), Cub (ages 8-10), Scout (ages 10-14) and Venturer (ages 14-18) sections. We participate in all scouting activities with lots of fun & games, camping, emergency skills, tramping, water-based and other outdoor activities etc. As Air Scouts we also have an interest in aviation. With a history of providing high-quality aviation training to young New Zealanders, Scouts New Zealand
is proud of its Air Scout Groups whose programmes include specialised air-based activities. Keas - fun and friendship are the cornerstones of the Kea programme. It is filled with a little bit of everything: outdoor activities, games, music, and crafts. Cubs - challenge and fun are the focus of the Cub programme. Hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that Cubs enjoy. Scouts - Scouts is about having fun while gaining valuable leadership skills and self-confidence by doing outdoor adventures like mountain biking, rock climbing, and camping. Venturers - the Venturer programme offers exciting, fun, hands-on experiences for youth. They take a step up in leading and running their own activities, and also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Aotearoa New Zealand.
