Asha Bhosle Remembered

Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle is fondly remembered as Indians throughout the world join in recording appreciations for her vast contributions. Asha Bhosle died recently and was accorded a State Funeral in Mumbai.

The Fiji Association has very special memories of Asha Bhosle during her 1990 NZ visit and performances with Te Waka Huia Maori, as well as receptions shared with the Association. Asha Bhosle continued her contact with us, and her passing is deeply mourned.

2025 Essay WINNERS AWARDS

High Commissioner Greg Andrews and Competition Judge Dr Satendra Singh visited schools in Suva, Nausori, Navua, Sigatoka, Nadi and Lautoka to address school assemblies and award prizes and certificates to the 2025 awardees. Seventy five secondary schools participated in the 2025 competition. The 2026 competition will shortly be announced by the High Commission in Suva.
