'Sowing the seed of prophetic inheritance'

Our vision is to spread sound Islamic teachings to Muslims in New Zealand. That we may be a means to spread transformative understanding of Islam and assist in the development of a healthy Islamic community. Currently, our team’s efforts is to organise substantial fundraising so we can move to the next stage in this venture, which is the construction/dev

elopment of onsite facilities. Your generous support in attending events and donating money and services are crucial to the success of this project.

As the days of Eid al-Adha approach, Muslims around the world raise their voices with the Takbīr:

“Allāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar, Lā ilāha illallāh, wallāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar wa lillāhil-hamd.”

These blessed words are more than a tradition — they are a reminder of the incredible submission, trust, and sacrifice shown by Prophet Ibrāhīm عليه السلام and his son Prophet Ismā‘īl عليه السلام.

When Allah commanded Prophet Ibrāhīm عليه السلام to sacrifice what was most beloved to him, both father and son responded with complete obedience and sincerity. Ismā‘īl عليه السلام submitted willingly to the command of Allah, and Ibrāhīm عليه السلام was prepared to fulfil it — placing Allah above all else.

Before the sacrifice took place, Allah replaced Ismā‘īl عليه السلام with a ram, honouring their unwavering faith and submission.

The Takbīrāt of Eid echo this legacy:
That Allah is greater than our fears.
Greater than our attachments.
Greater than everything we hold dear.

As we recite these Takbīrāt from the 9th to the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, may our hearts also revive the spirit of sincerity, sacrifice, obedience, and gratitude.

Allāhu Akbar wa lillāhil-hamd.

Revive a beautiful Sunnah this Dhul Hijjah

Takbīrāt al-Tashrīq begin from Fajr on Wednesday 27 May 2026 (9th Dhū al-Ḥijjah) and continue until ʿAṣr on Sunday 31 May 2026 (13th Dhū al-Ḥijjah).

This practice comes from the command of Allah ﷻ:

“And proclaim the Takbīr of Allah for the days appointed...”
(Surah al-Baqarah 2:203)

The Ṣaḥābah رضي الله عنهم would raise their voices in Takbīr throughout these blessed days, reviving the remembrance of Allah in their homes, masājid, and gatherings.

After every Farḍ Ṣalāh, recite:

“Allāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar.
Lā ilāha illallāhu, wallāhu Akbar.
Allāhu Akbar, wa lillāhil-ḥamd.”

May Allah allow us to fill these sacred days with His remembrance and revive the Sunnah with sincerity and unity. Ameen.
