HIPPY – Home Interaction Programme for Parents & Youngsters
As part of the HIPPY programme you work with your child in your home for 15 mi
nutes a day, 5 times per week. Your child will build knowledge in maths, reading and writing while developing their cognitive, creative and social skills, all of which need to be in place for a successful start at school. Playgroup
Every Tuesday (9.30am-11.30am) and Thursday (12pm-2pm) (apart from in the school holidays) we run a playgroup for under fives. A gold coin donation is gratefully received which goes towards providing fresh fruit for the children. Complimentary tea, coffee and cold water is provided. The Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) gives parents simple and practical advice to help them confidently manage the behaviour of their children and teens, prevent problems developing and to build strong, healthy relationships. Seasons for Growth is a peer support programme which helps people of all ages to understand and cope with the changes they experience when a significant loss occurs. The programme is based on an understanding that working through grief involves four tasks and uses the imagery of the four seasons. The programme is a safe and proven way to help people to think about, and for some, come to terms with their life changing experiences. How Do I Join In? Please just call, email or PM us! It’s that simple. How Much Will It Cost Me? Some providers ask that a small koha is provided to ensure the continued running of the service but most are free to you.
