Mend/Make New Lynn 2026 🪡✨

Do you have clothes that need a little love? A torn seam, missing button, or something you’ve been meaning to fix forever? Bring it along and repair it with us.

WARC is once again partnering with Earth Action Trust for another Team Up 2 Clean Up event in New Lynn!

Mend/Make at Te Atatū Peninsula 🧵🌿
Another beautiful session with a mix of familiar and new faces, all settling into an easy rhythm of making, mending and sharing 💚♻️

Here’s just some of what was mended and transformed:

🧥 A ripped denim jacket patched
🧵 Time spent learning to use a serger/overlocker
🌸 Embroidery practice building new skills
🧺 Fabric baskets created from repurposed materials
👜 Zipper pouches sewn
🦺 Pockets and hanging loops reattached on robes
🧶 A knitted jumper cuff secured with tacking stitches
⚽ A soccer shirt patched
🧳 A garment bag zip head reattached
👖 Vintage pants repaired at a worn patch, with a new pocket added
✂️ Velcro patches unpicked from a jacket

We’ve been offered a large donation of magazines, but sadly we can’t fit them in.. so we’re hoping someone else might be able to make use of them!

Available are:
• Hundreds of The Listener magazines (2019–2025)
• Around 20 NZ Gardener magazines (2020–2025)

If you, your organisation, or someone you know could use them, please send us a message and we will put you in touch with the person offering them.
