We were thrilled to welcome Grace to our recent meeting to hear about her whirlwind 14 days at the Rotary Science and Technology Forum.

Grace was one of only 168 students selected from 350 applicants across NZ. She attend the 14 day event that was packed full with:
🔬 Applied Math & Quantum Physics
🧪 Chemistry & Biomedical Engineering
🏃 Sports Science & Nutrition
🧬 and much more!

From fingerprinting with the NZ Police to hearing from "Nanogirl" Michelle Dickinson and Hon. Erica Stanford, Grace’s horizon has truly expanded. We are so proud to have supported this local star!

Join us at our next meeting to see how you can support more of our young coasties!

The Rotary Club of Orewa-Millwater and Whangaparaoa Rotary's great potato growing competition came to its conclusion last week, with Love Soup being the winner on the day!

🙏Thanks to both organisations and those that participated in the plant off. Potatoes are always a welcome staple in our food parcels 🥔🥔🥔

We were lucky enough to have our Annual Potato Growing Competition hosted at the Orewa Beach Kindy this year.

Peter & Vivienne were the winning growers this year, which they had grown for one of their past International Youth Exchange students from Belgium. With Ian closely following behind.

The Rotary Club of Whangaparaoa took out the win for the interclub competition with an average of 822 grams per bag versus Orewa-Millwater's 734 grams.

We also took the opportunity to present the Orewa Beach Kindy with a check for $1000, an annual tradition from when we originally supported the kindergarten to be established.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Cans For Coasties event!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Cans For Coasties event!

🛒We're grateful to every day people doing extraordinary things to help us feed the need in our community.

Suman from the Rotary Club of Orewa-Millwater visited local retirement villages, including Evelyn Paige, Gulf Rise, and the Botanic, where residents kindly donated non-perishable items for our food parcels.

Random acts of kindness really do make a difference 🙏
