A few weeks ago we stood in solidarity alongside of Auckland City Mission Vinnies Tāmaki Makaurau Te Matatini Society Incorporated to bear witness to the 2nd and 3rd reading of the move on orders. We observed mps fighting hard to oppose the bill, over 7600 submissions made and 98 per cent were opposed to the bill including the retail sector, despite this the bill went through into legislation under urgency. 😒
Move on orders do not support or offer solutions, people will still freeze to death on the streets from rough sleeping, many of those who are houseless in Aotearoa will remain hidden and immediate access housing will continue to be difficult and near impossible to obtain for many...this catastrophe gave rise to what can we all do keep sharing and highlighting solutions re youth homelessness and increased awhi...

Inspired by being at Parliament and being devastated to see the move on orders pass into legislation we will be activating and bringing together RANGATAHI, the sector, local and central government to a day of innovation, updates ending with real actions, strategy and commitment 🟤👊
