Another scoop of events - this one is jam-packed with opportunities for travel, learning, connection, and a chance to attend a local Chinese film festival!

The Prime Minister’s Scholarship group applications are open. This is a great way to broaden your horizons and connect with the world while surrounded by like-minded individuals. Individual applications are set to open 17th of June and run to 19th of July 🌏✈️

The New Zealand China Council is a great source of information and insight into China. It recently released a new podcast episode “Dissecting China’s ‘Two Sessions’ in 2024” and offered resources into China’s QingMing festival, also known as the Tomb Sweeping Day. Be sure to check them out to engage further with NZ-China insight! 🌱

Running from the 17th - 19th of May, the New Zealand China Friendship Society’s 2024 conference theme this year is “Reaching Out”. The event focuses on connecting with people of Chinese descent in local communities and reflects the importance of fostering an understanding with Chinese communities in New Zealand. Check out the NZCS website for more info! 🤝

And lastly, but not least, there is a Chinese short film night being held in Wellington on Wednesday the 10th of April. The evening will showcase 6 short films all relating to Chinese heritage, family and connection. 🏡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Tickets available online at the ShowMeShorts website!

NZTE is hosting an event designed for young women interested in international trade. Speakers Tara Tan and Alliv Samson have a wealth of experience operating companies abroad, and are both successful founders and leaders of New Zealand brands working overseas 💫

Part 2 of the 10th Anniversary programme of Asian Aotearoa Arts is about to be underway! Experience the programme’s theme of Past, Present and Futures through public events in Pōneke Wellington between April the 14th and May the 10th 2024 🎭🎨

The 2024 New Zealand Shenzhen Business Forum will share business insights, discuss commercial values, and promote the flourishing development of New Zealand’s commerce through business discussions and experience sharing. Note that this event will be held entirely in Mandarin 🇳🇿🇨🇳
