Careers Day with MUMA Rangatahi Tū Tonu 💪

A recent trip to Lifeskills Training+Education Māngere gave our rangatahi the chance to meet some amazing people face-to-face (kanohi ki te kanohi) and learn more about employment opportunities in their local area and beyond. It was really great for our young ones to see the potential avenues and support systems available to them, and hopefully give them a go one day!

Not all heroes wear capes! 🦸 If you are in the Waikato region and can't get to a voting station, there are support systems in place to ensure you still get your say in this year's election ✅. Get in touch with the team at Electoral Commission NZ and today to sort out the best accessible avenue for you 😀.

Our rangatahi had an epic outing recently, learning about waka ama, water safety, and teamwork on our iconic harbour. It was a blast and definitely a new experience we'll keep close to the ngākau 🛶. We'd like to say thank you to the amazing coaches and experienced kaihoe who came out to teach us the tips and tricks to moving a 12-man through cold winds and cloudy conditions! Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, ēngari he toa takimano!

Huro!

Nothing brings out rivalry and over dramatic competitiveness between friends like a Wiki o Te Reo Māori Kahoot 😂

That was MUMA last week celebrating Māori language week with a hākari and a few quizzes to celebrate our Reo. Safe to say, The MUMA whānau don’t joke around when there’s Reo Māori and chocolate prizes on the line 🏋️‍♀️🙂‍↕️
